We met in a way that was both planned and completely by chance — a mutual friend tried to set us up, and fate gave us a random run-in to seal the deal. We started out as just friends back in early 2021, but over time (and a whole lot of shared laughs, dog sitting adventures, trips, and music festivals), something more started to grow.

By July 21, 2022, we made it official.

Since then, we’ve traveled all over together and cheered each other on through some pretty big life moments — from graduating college to starting our careers. We’ve grown side by side, through all the highs and lows. We moved in together in April 2024, and by April 2025, we took an even bigger step and settled into a long-term rental home in The Woodlands. Somewhere in the middle of all that, we also brought home our very cute (and very chaotic) dachshund, Ravioli — and life hasn’t been quiet since!

We’ve had our fair share of ups and downs, laughs and tears, and all the little in-between moments that make doing life together so worth it.

And then came March 5, 2025 — the day Knox proposed. I had just come home from one of the toughest days in my teaching career, and I was completely drained. What I didn’t know was that something really special was waiting for me.

We had recently made the decision to leave downtown Houston and move to The Woodlands. That evening, Knox asked if I wanted to go "get measurements for a couch" I’d been eyeing (and just to be clear — I was getting that couch either way). Once we got there, we realized we had no measuring tape. So it turned into a casual walk-through and dinner with Knox’s mom, Debbie. Nothing out of the ordinary… or so I thought.

Later, in the backyard of our new home, Knox looked at me and said:

“This was a really big step… want to take an even bigger one and marry me?”

And of course, I said yes.

Even if I was in full athleisure with zero warning to dress up — typical me.

Now here we are — planning our wedding, filled with so much love and gratitude. We’re beyond excited to tie the knot and celebrate with all of you. Thank you for being a part of our story… we can’t wait to make the next chapter unforgettable. See you soon!
